Stressed to the limit

stressed to the absolute max! Is any one else at that point?! I'm pretty sure that the summer holidays are there to test you patience and ability as a parent.

So I haven't posted recently as so much has been going on; school holidays (stressful on their own), new job, families being well families and just general day to day stuff that is just nothing but when you are under so much pressure it seems like the most annoying thing in the world!

My girls can throw a wobbly about literally anything quite literally! For example brushing alexas hair in the morning sounds like a horror film! And that's every morning!

Any solutions on dealing with this sort of thing are greatly appreciated and if you can raise your hand and tell me I'm not the only one going completely insane this holidays then please do!

day out!!

so yesterday a rare thing happened and we both had a day off together and we went out for the day! Wahoooo! Although it took 2 1/2 hours to get there it was worth it! We went to Butlins at Skegness now normally in half term this would have been a really expensive day out but we only payed £6 each! (£18 as Ellie was free!) once we arrived there was a queue to get in but the staff were very good and very quick at getting people in so we wasn't waiting in a queue for long. Once we were in side we noticed there was alot of work going on with in butlins its self. Roofing going up over the smaller rides, arcades being changed and circus leaving as a few but none of this spoilt the day the staff were still as ever very helpful, welcoming and happy which was lovely! Every where was still very clean too which is a big thing for me! We did some of the fair ground rides and the soft play we took a walk to the beach again I was so clean and welcoming the sun was shining which made it so much nicer puts every one in a good mood! We then walked back in to the skyline\centre stage were we caught barney and a puppet show then headed to the swimming pool. Now this has to be my personal favorite the pool! It's so family friendly but at the same time has something for every one! Ellie loved the kids pool this year, and the lazy river, Alexa loves that she can go on the big rides the raft rife and the rapids are her favourites as wells as all of it being warm enough that we can spend ages in there were as some pools are so cold you can't stay in that long. Again all of the facilities were clean and all staff very good! There was the odd life guard who looked like they forgot how to smile but I put that down to concentrating. Its safe to say none of us wanted to leave. I would recommend butlins Skegness to anyone looking for a lovely day out and you can make it a full day out too!

do you ever step back for just a moment and think .. yea im blessed

so today is red nose day or comic relief no I didn't do anything for it Alexa had a dress down day at school but apart from that we didn't really do anything I do admit I did sit and watch the programme tho.

so today has been one of those days where a few things have happened or been said where I stop for a moment step back and look at how blessed I am. Listening and watching some of those awful stories on comic relief its terrible to  watch knowing that its all real! There was a story on the local news of a man who is one of my mums neighbours today of his awful domestic abuse attack I just think
wow.
I really am truly blessed I have a job a house beautiful happy healthy children fiance who loves me and would do anything for me or the girls, warmth, clean running water, food we have it all really watching my girls running and talking and smiling today showed me how overwhelmingly blessed I am. Is it just me who gets this sudden overwhelming emotion and could probably bust into tears any second (if not already)

Everyone has to start some where.

Hi. So I've decided to start a blog I've been toying with the idea for a while and though ahh heck why not. So my name is Lauren I'm a mummy to two little girls Alexa 5 and Ellie 1 I am engaged to my best friend (I know everyone says is but he was literally my best friend in secondary school)

I will try not to over load and write once or twice a week depending on what we do and if I have time. I like to voice my opinion so be warned. Comment and let me know your opinions as I like to be nosey too and who doesn't love a good gossip!
